The Sandbox is the room I wish I'd had ten years ago.
I'm a family photographer in Chicago, an educator, and a mom of three. For 18 years I've been turning family photos from a dreaded obligation into an experience that's looked forward to.
In the Family Posing Playbook I teach photographers to lead any family into real connection. The Sandbox is where we keep going together: finding the families who want that work, and trusting ourselves to keep making it.
Because I believe we have the power to make the world a better place, one family at a time, through our art.
Questions
Do I need to take the Family Posing Playbook first?
No. They're designed to work together, but you can join either one on its own. The Family Posing Playbook teaches how to create real connection at the session. The Sandbox is how to find the families who want that work, plus the community around it. Lots of photographers do both.
Is there a commitment?
Nope! You can join and cancel anytime.
Do I need a certain level of experience or a certain style?
No. The Sandbox is values-based, not style-based. Light and airy or dark and moody, film or digital, your first year or your fifteenth. If you care about serving families well, you belong here.
When do the doors open?
Late December. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to know, with founding member pricing.
What does it cost?
The founding price is $39 a month, or $390 a year (two months free). Join as a founding member and you keep that price for as long as you stay.
